Friday night will be a busy one for RBR, for tonight is the night we honor RBR Seniors! It's Senior Night at the football game. Parents, students, and family need to be at the football stadium prior to 7 PM. We will be hosting a ceremony for the seniors prior to the start of the game. Come out and support them, then stay for the game. We need many parent volunteers: videographer and photographer are the most important for the ceremony (our usual photographer will be in the ceremony and cannot perform camera duty). We will also need prop and pit pushers for the halftime show, more than usual, for our very dedicated senior parents will not be able to assist due to their ceremony and leaving at the end of half-time with their seniors as they continue their celebration! Please sign-up for duties here. The football game will be a pink out game in support of breast cancer research. Please wear pink if you want to show your support.

For this season's show, "The Blue Forest," we will need an additional 12 prop pushers for the trees (the forest) both this Saturday at the competition and on Friday for the football game halftime show. Please come to the football field tonight at 8 PM for details on how you can help!
And if you want to sign up for Saturday volunteer duty, including prop pushing, and Sunday prop building, please click here. Photo by Greyson Joralemon on Unsplash Saturday morning from 10 AM to 2 PM we will be out by the trailer on campus continuing our prop build for the RBR season. We need all the volunteers we can get to do the building work, so if you have the time, skills, and inclination, we need your help!
We will be putting together a stage and cutting the tree props. We will be working with plywood, so if you have any power tools, please bring them. We need jigsaws, circular saws, drills, stands, and angle grinders. Go to the Gate on Toledo and you will see the open gates to the back of the field. Enter through here and drive back to the storage bins. Sign-up to volunteer here. See you out there! Come out and support our Chargers Football team for tonight's home game against the Camarillo Scorpions, with the RBR Marching Band performing. Signup for volunteer duties, or just come out and enjoy the game with the Music Boosters, volunteers, and staff. We also need chaperones; please sign-up here for chaperone duty.
The game starts at 7:00 PM. Volunteers should come in at the rear and don't have to purchase a ticket. Tickets for non-volunteers are available here. After tonight there is just one home game left in the season. During the game, the RBR will be performing pep tunes as usual. There will be no half-time performance this evening. See you out there tonight, and LET'S GO CHARGERS! 6 PM (note: extended from noon) on Sunday, 9/25, is the deadline to order your Parents' RBR Show Shirt for this season. Each shirt is $25, and comes in ladies' and mens' styles and a full range of sizes. You can order your shirts directly from South County Spirit Wear here.

See you out there tonight, and LET'S GO CHARGERS! Come see the RBR in action for this year's annual RBR Parent Preview Performance! They will be showcasing what they learned during band camp and presenting the first movement of this year's show. The day will begin with an extended rehearsal for the RBR, followed by a potluck dinner before the Parent Preview performance. The schedule is as follows:
Potluck Dinner Please come out and join us for our potluck dinner. Photo by Spencer Davis on Unsplash At 5:30 PM, before the show, please join us for a potluck dinner with your student! It has been a few years since we have had one. We will have servers for the food. Please join the sign up list for the Potluck. We need each family to bring a dish, and a few helpers for dinner service.
If you have any questions, please contact our Marching Band liaisons, Rose at (949) 230-9711 or Lulu at (714) 376-1708. Alternatively, you can contact our VP of Admin, June at (714) 651-5927. See you out there tonight! Photo by Yuri Shirota on Unsplash RBR Seniors: we desperately need your responses to our questionnaire, a baby picture, and a current picture! It is due ASAP! Please go to this link to complete the questionnaire. And please upload your photos to our Mega Cloud Drive (note: the upload link was broken but appears to be functional again).
And SAVE THE DATE for Friday, 10/14, from 4:30 PM to 10 PM. This is our RBR Senior Night Football Game. More details will come out soon, but we do want our senior parents to keep that night open in their schedules. Photo by Sarah Elizabeth on Unsplash This Friday, August 19th, football season kicks off with our ETHS Chargers Football Team playing their first home game against La Mirada. Our RBR musicians will be performing pep tunes in support of our football team. Please sign-up to help with volunteer duties at the home football game! Our football players can't take the field without RBR's help. It's also great fun for the parents.
Volunteers will be meeting in front of the band room from 4:30 PM. Kickoff time is at 7:30 PM. And if you can't volunteer, we still hope to see you at the game. The Music Boosters are usually seated at the opposite end from the entrance—look for a sea of boosters t-shirts. So come out and show some school spirit, and your support for our band and football players! |
