Marching BAND

2021-21 Season Show
"Building Towards Tomorrow"

El Toro High School's Royal Blue Regiment Marching Band is a 44 year-old award-winning ensemble featuring winds, brass, percussion, and color guard. The Royal Blue Regiment is a member of the Western Band Association. Under the direction of Brandon Miller, RBR has been a finalist since the 2016 WBA Grand Championships. In the 2021-2022 season, they finished in 2nd place in Southern California's 3A Division.

At home football games they perform an exhibition of their Field Show, and provide support to the Chargers Football Team at away games by performing as a pep band. During the 2021-2022 Season they will be competing at events for both the Western Band Association (WBA) and the Southern California School Band & Orchestra Association (SCSBOA). Please check the links for information on upcoming WBA events, post-event scores, and a list of member schools.

2022-2023 Program & Ensemble
Fair-share Contributions

The El Toro Music program is primarily funded by fair share contributions from parents, family members, and the community. Through your continued generosity, we are able to provide professional coaches for our students, purchase show designs, instruments, equipment and uniforms, transportation and participation in local and regional competitions, provide meals on competition days and much more!

There are several fundraisers throughout the season that you can participate in. A few examples would be: SnapRaise, Disney Opportunity ticket sales, greenery sales, dine-out nights at local restaurants and advertisement sales for the music yearbook.

For students in any of the ensembles, you can make your fair share contributions here. Payments can be made in a single sum, or installments. Installment amounts are listed in the pull-down menus.

season SCHEDULE

Marching band rehearsals begin in May for the fall season, for both returning students and current interested 8th Graders who are rising freshmen. Summer rehearsals include a camp prior to the Lake Forest July 4 parade performance, and a 2-week camp in early August prior to the start of school. In the fall, marching band consistently rehearses Mondays and Tuesdays after school, and Thursday evenings. When there is not a football game that they are performing at, there are some occasional Friday rehearsals after school.
