Kennedy High School Shamrock Regiment will host the 34th Annual Preview of Champions. This annual tradition was started by the Magnolia High School Sentinels and has been carried on by the Shamrock Regiment since 2001. Again, the kids will be performing this season's show, "Building Towards Tomorrow," featuring a musical piece entitled, "A Bridge Between Two Eras." Kennedy Field Show Tournament Itinerary A huge congratulations goes out to the members of the Royal Blue Regiment! This past Saturday they competed in their first competition of the season at the Mission Viejo Field Show Tournament. Competing in the 3A Division, the R-B-R had an amazing performance and earned first place overall with a score of 71.050. They took caption awards for Best Visual, Best Color Guard, Best Music, and Best General Effect. Complete results can be viewed on the WBA site. Season UpdateS The Aliso Niguel Tournament that was scheduled for October 9th has been CANCELED. We have added a show to replace it. We will now be attending the competition at Don Lugo High School on Saturday, November 6th.
On Saturday, October 16th, Mr. Miller may add a rehearsal. He will inform as soon as he has this confirmed. If there is no rehearsal, we will be painting props in the morning/early afternoon. The more help we can get, the faster this will go. The next tournament will be at Kennedy High School in La Palma on October 23rd. The WGASC/ADLA Virtual Championships were held this past Saturday, April 24, 2021, where ETHS Winter Guard took first place in the Scholastic AA division! This is the first time in the history of the program that the team won first place at the seasonal championship. Their winning performance, "The Future," can be viewed below. WAY TO GO CHARGERS! El Toro High School Color Guard will be participating in a virtual competition with their program, "The Future." How's that gonna work? Should be interesting. El Toro will compete in the Scholastic AA Division. The competition is being hosted by the WGASC/ADLA (Winter Guard Association of Southern California).
Good luck in the competition! ETHS RBR Grand Championship Performance in Kingsburg, California Sunday, November 24, 2019 The ETHS Royal Blue Regiment Marching Band performed in the 2019 Grand Championship in Kingsburg, California, this past Sunday. It was an excellent performance—the best of the entire season—garnering a 5th place finish in Western Band Association's Division 3A for the entire state. Congratulations to all those who participated. Your hard work and dedication paid off. We are so proud of you!
