Winter is coming! Photo by Paul Pastourmatzis on Unsplash Winter is coming! And with it comes stress from the holiday rush, finals, and college applications. It's enough to get anyone down. But we have just the thing to lift your spirits and prepare you for the holidays: the December IMPB Newsletter! It's hot off the presses, produced by our hard-working President, Music Program Director, and Booster Board members. In it is information about current sales, the December ensemble concerts, Winter Guard and Winter Percussion schedules, the RBR Banquet at Buffalo Wild Wings, the January trip to Disneyland, the Boba Bee drink-out, fundraisers, donations, and the Music Angels and corporate sponsorship programs. It has all the information you need to make the most of this holiday music season. We hope you celebrate it with us! December 2022 Newsletter Winter percussion clinics begin today at 5 PM. If you're looking to complement your fall RBR experience, Winter Percussion is a great way to fill-in the off-season and gain additional experience in a music-in-motion ensemble (for RBR Color Guard, there is Winter Guard). Plus, you don't have to enroll in Physical Ed for the semester.
Clinic dates and times from now to the end of the year are as follows:

The RBR has the opportunity to perform in a marching parade at Disneyland on January 20th, 2023. The RBR traditionally marches at Disneyland every year, and it is always a really fun trip. This year marks the RBR's return to Disneyland for the first time since 2019.
If you are reading this and are not in the RBR, that is because Mr. Miller has decided to open up this opportunity to those students that play a band instrument but couldn't participate in marching band this season. The cost of the trip is $155 per student. The payment and form is due Friday 11/18, but it can be turned in after the Thanksgiving break if you are just hearing about this and need a little more time. STUDENTS, please fill out this Google form if you are interested in attending. Please read the letter below for ALL information pertinent to this trip. You can also make payment with the PayPal link below. Finally, please do not hesitate to contact Mr. Miller with any questions that you may have. We finally get to resume this tradition for the first time in four years. Let's make it a memorable return and try to get as many kids as we can to join and make it as fun as possible. Hope to have you join us!
2023 ETHS Music Trip to Disneyland
Our monthly General Booster Meeting will be held on Monday, November 14th, from 7:00 PM. All Booster parents are encouraged to attend (i.e. every parent with a child in the music program). In light of marching band championships this coming weekend, this meeting is considered mandatory for all parents of students in the RBR as we will be discussing important topics relevant to this weekend's events.
We will also be discussing the upcoming Holiday concerts, ordering of concert attire, and the kick-off of the Christmas Mickman’s Greenery Sale! We will be meeting in the band room on campus. Coffee and refreshments will be served. So please come out, and hope to see you all there! Photo by Georg Eiermann on Unsplash The November newsletter is out, hot off the presses, produced by our hard-working Booster Board members! In it is information about the November music schedule, dine-out Night at The Habit, the RBR competition schedule, the Disney Opportunity Drawing, fundraising and donation information, and information on Band Fest. Please click below to view it. November 2022 Newsletter This year’s Band Fest will be held at Laguna Hills High School (map below) on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022. Band Fest is the annual musical exhibition of the marching bands of Laguna Hills, El Toro, Mission Viejo, and Trabuco Hills High Schools. The bands of La Paz, Los Alisos, Rancho Santa Margarita, and Serrano Intermediate Schools will be joining their high school counterparts to watch and play as well.
This non-competitive performance showcase is designed to demonstrate the outstanding Instrumental Music program offerings of the Saddleback Valley Unified School District. This festival provides an opportunity for the ensembles to share their talents with friends, families, and peers in the SVUSD community. District middle school student musicians will join the high school bands to perform the National Anthem, and will also help perform pep tunes in the stands. Band Fest is a lot of fun and a great recruiting opportunity for the RBR and ETHS Music Program. You won't want to miss these performances! Volunteers - WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need all the help we can get. Volunteers, please sign up here. Additional details are as follows:
